Welcome to the Department of Ophthalmology (Eye Center) of Toho University Omori Medical Center. We are the team of eye specialist including 8 professors, 15 doctors, 20 nurses, 8 orthoptists, and 6 co-medical staffs. All department staffs are continually trying to refine our skills in providing quality visual care using state-of-the-art surgical equipment and technology. We treat all eye diseases, such as cataract, glaucoma, vitreoretinal disorder, corneal disease, pediatric eye disease, external eye disease, and neurological eye disease. Especially, we are known for our particular specialization in cornea transplantation and ocular surface reconstruction for the patients with various severe corneal diseases. Also, we have a strength of treatment of pediatric ophthalmology. Furthermore, as a university hospital we strive to acquire new knowledge and develop new treatment methods, and all staff are committed to a variety of research based on clinical activities.
