Patient Care

We accept new patients between 8:30 am and 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We also make appointments every day for the patients referred by other medical institutes through Regional Medical Liaison Office (Chiiki Renkei Center).

For the cases which were already diagnosed with mammary gland tumor or thyroid gland tumor, we start treatments after reaffirmation of the diagnostic results by our pathological department and whole body scanning. We decide the primary treatment for breast cancer or thyroid gland cancer out of some options such as surgical treatment, pharmacotherapy, and radiotherapy.

When you visit us to ask for a second opinion after another hospital made diagnosis and the treatment plan, please make an appointment by phone in advance. The second-opinion consultation is intended to help the patients understand well about their own diseases and takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Its cost is not covered by national health insurance.

When you visit us with a lump or pain in your breast, or for checkup after indicating problems by a screening, we perform visual inspection, palpation, mammography and ultrasonography to check the presence of abnormalities. If we find any abnormalities, we will make cytological / histological diagnosis with needle cytology, vacuum-assisted breast biopsy, etc. Appointments are required to take these examinations in principle.

When the patients have masses in their necks, the department of endocrinology in our hospital thoroughly examines in principle. This is because that there is a wide variety of thyroid diseases including thyroid cancer (papillary cancer, follicular cancer, medullary cancer, malignant lymphoma), nodular goiter (follicular goiter, adenomatous goiter), Grave’s disease, etc., and some of them do not need to be treated and others need to be treated by pharmacotherapy.
